Exactly What Are These Apparently Wonderful Online Entities Typically Referred To As Blogs? A Blog Fails To Actually Sound That Lovely!

Blog - to my understanding is an anagrammatic abbreviation of Web Log. Blogs can range from simple diary-like entries to continuous or semi regular postings of related or varied subject matter.

Please bear in mind, my approach for this piece of content is for a person much like myself.

An internet user bombarded by Blog this, Blog that and don't do that do THIS etc etc. When really, what I have been trying to determine is really simple.

So what on earth is a Blog? Is there precise word count, format or location for these apparently wonderful online entities? Can everybody do one and should they bother? What do they cost you and how do you earn from them?

Well, to tell you the truth, I am not at all sure. Thought I would point out that you are not alone!

While I am without doubt learning, I always take time to consider if I am learning what I should be learning.

As an aside, I really should apologise now if you came here for any answers, I am only qualified to ask at this stage. However, sometimes being aware of the questions to look for can give rise to conclusions and, dare I say it, answers. I do not have reason to believe that it could always be said that I am precise in my communications. I do, all the same, like to be thought of as someone able to encourage considered thought in those reading my tidbits.

A recurrent theme in the Blogging arena must be noted. Wordpress. Wordpress blogs are easy to setup. Wordpress itself offers the means to operate a Wordpress Blog fully hosted, whereby you have the ability to customise the site and obviously, support. Always handy in moments of crisis that is!

You can host them yourself, as all worthwhile hosting services allow you to install the script with ease. Within my working experience the setup and upkeep was relatively easy, though cannot say with certainty that my approach was entirely appropriate. I cheated here though. I found some really good instructional videos that outlined the essentials very nicely indeed! Once again, I must apologise. I have forgotten from whence they came!
